東京都調布市生まれ。中学一年生の夏、兄の影響でサーフィンと出会う。17才で日本プロサーフィン連盟公認プロテストに合格。東京出身のプロサーファーとしては一番若くしてプロサーファーとなる。プロ合格と共に国内、海外のツアートーナメントに参加。いつも自然（波）と共に生きるライフスタイルで現在もビックウェイブの聖地であるハワイノースショアの波を追い続けている。現在プロ歴36年。背中の文字『NUGGETS』は波の良いセクション、良い波に乗ることを指すスラングです。一般的にナゲットは「塊」や「金塊」を意味しますが、サーフィンでは、波のリップ（崩れてくる部分）やチューブ（波が巻いている部分）など、サーファーの間で魅力的な部分を指すことがあります。HP：http://www.u4surf.jp/Instagram：@u4surf
